Is short selling in stocks or commodities allowed in India

Short selling is the sale borrowed by seller but not owned with the promise to buy back that share at a later date. It is motivated by the belief that security price will decline and enabling its future purchase in the future at a lower price ti make a profit.

It was banned in 2001 by SEBI but after 2005 SEBI only retailers were allowed, after that SEBI recommended that institutional investors such as mutual funds be allowed to short-sell shares in the market, as well. If you want to start trading then you can start by yourself or you can take help of any advisory firm like KHELOMCX, BAZAARTRADING advisory firm, 100MCXTIPS. Generally i recommended Bazaar trading. They provide the best tips to earn me the bigger profits.
